We understand that life (and travel) happens. That’s why we offer flexibility—with structure.
A message from the school:
Make-up credits are one of the most challenging aspects of running a school built entirely around 1-on-1 instruction. We genuinely strive to be flexible and understanding - life happens, and most of our students use the system responsibly without issue.
However, we’ve occasionally encountered situations where students repeatedly cancel and rebook lessons, making it difficult for our teachers to manage their schedules and, more importantly, limiting availability for other students who are eager to learn.
To keep things fair for everyone and to protect the time and energy of our dedicated instructors, we’ve put some structure in place around how make-up credits work.
Please review the following guidelines carefully:
Failed appointments incur the full lesson fee with no refunds or makeup credits. A “failed appointment” includes no-shows (no communication), same-day cancellations without a true emergency, or arriving over 10 minutes late.
The Golden Voice reserves the right to pause or end services at any time, for any reason. This may include ongoing scheduling issues, non-payment, or anything that makes continuing unworkable. If the fit no longer feels aligned, we’ll always do our best to part on a high note.
You may login to check the status of your account, your payment history, update payment methods and see how many lessons you have scheduled in our student portal. Access the portal here.
Zoom sessions may not be recorded by student without prior permission.
It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that their device, internet connection, and Zoom settings are properly configured and functioning prior to the start of each lesson.
Instructions on how to set up Zoom are here.
This includes, but is not limited to, verifying that audio, video, and connectivity are stable and adequate for an uninterrupted online session. The Golden Voice Academy is not liable for technical issues arising from the student’s equipment or software. Missed time due to technological failures on the student’s end will be treated as a completed session and will not be rescheduled or refunded.
In the rare event that a technical issue occurs on the Academy’s side, a makeup credit will be issued.
Neither the Instructor, nor any affiliated parties, shall be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses. This includes any potential injuries or damages sustained by the Student during their participation in any lessons or activities, or as a result of being on Zoom or on the premises of the Instructor’s house or studio. By agreeing to these policies, the Student acknowledges the inherent risks associated with the lessons, understands the nature of potential hazards in the Instructor’s house and studio, and hereby releases and discharges the Instructor from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Student’s participation or presence on the premises.
Your payment serves as the parent/students electronic signature agreeing that they acknowledge and understanding the policies, and binding them to this agreement and these policies.
