Aria Johnson - Bio
Singer Songwriter Aria Johnson was born a musician. Her career started while performing in church at age 5, song writing by 12 and professionally touring by 15.
In 2010, Aria was recognized by being awarded the World Music and Dance Award for “Artist of The Year”. She has worked with David Foster, opened for Ludacris, sang for thousands at The Staples Center, and has received over three and a half million plays from her fifty thousand registered fans on Myspace. Aria has recently appeared on many red carpets, headlined numerous charity events including “Hand’s For Haiti”, and “The Albert Schweitzer Celebrity Gala” as well as being a face of the Women’s Heart Health Campaign 2010.
In 2009 Aria received a Billboard Award for Song Of The Year. The track came from her full-length debut Indie album, which Aria wrote, and co-produced. Aria’s latest single “Something’s Up Tonight”, is currently Canada’s Top Dance Pick, Best Dance Breakout Song as well as making Top 10 in Canada’s radio charts.
Aria has recently appeared on E-Entertainment, Bravo and The Style Network. Aria’s music has played on MTV, NBC, CBS, UPN, The CW, iTunes, The Miss America Competition and her song “Beauty” was recently featured on the hit show, “America’s Next Top Model”. She has also written for the artist ‘Hope’ on a song that was critically acclaimed and published by Atlantic Records. Aria’s career as an artist has helped her become one of Los Angeles’ top vocal coaches. Aria works with many professional child stars and helps them fulfill their maximum potential and achieve their dreams.
Aria has a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing and an honorary Master’s in Music from Bedford Artist Development.
